Anna Gallea passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in 1924, Anna lived a full life into her 100th year and until her very last days. She is survived by her five children: Sharon (Alan) Newman, Sandra (John) Campolieto, Sheryl (Jim d.2006) Roets, Joseph Jr. (Rosann) Gallea, Susan (Dan) Lang, honorary sons-in-law Greg Mancine and Dick Minoia (d.2024) ,19 grandchildren and a still growing group of 31 great grandchildren who adored her. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Gallea Sr.; siblings, Mary (Robert) McLane, Rose Panaggio, Mauro (Rita) Panaggio, Angela (Patrick) Malley, Michael (Deborah) Panaggio, and Patrick Panaggio. Anna moved to Pittsford, NY with her husband, Joseph Sr., in 1957. There, they established their fruit and vegetable business, “Gallea’s” on Clover Street where she continued to work with her children until the last months of her life. Her tenacity and strength, especially in her later years, was inspiring to all who met and knew her. There will be a Church Service to honor Anna’s life on Wednesday, May 8th at 9am at the Hermance Family Chapel at St. John Fisher University
