Irondequoit: November 30, 2020 at 97 years. Predeceased by her husband, Ralph; son, John. Survived by brother, George Glidden; children: Ethan (Andrea), Susanna, Jay (Martha); daughter-in-law Irene; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Special thanks to aide, Evelyn Chealey, for her loving care.
Eleanor served as a WWII Navy nurse, graduated UCONN, a member of the First Unitarian Church, a lifelong peace and civil rights activist, attended 1963 March on Washington and heard MLK deliver his "I Have a Dream" speech, and dedicated herself to helping people recover from addiction. Eleanor enjoyed sharing her Maine summer home with family and friends.
