Ihor Korda

Ihor Korda, passed away on December 28, 2024, in Greece, NY, at the age of 74. Born on April 21, 1950, in England, Ihor lived a life rich with memories, friendships, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.

Ihor was a fan and supporter of the New York Yankees, and had an enthusiastic appreciation for political commentary, often identifying as a “Trumpster.” He enjoyed engaging with numerous talk shows, particularly "The Brian Craig Show", which provided him with entertainment and discussion that he cherished.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Cecilia, and their daughters, Michele Lee (John) Perticone and Stephanie Maria Colangelo. Ihor took great pride in being a grandfather to his grandchildren: James Ryan Vermeire, Tiffany Marie Vermeire, Kailee Anne Vandertang, Bella Sky Colangelo, Paige Daniella Colangelo, Gabriella Maria Arnone, Gianni Salvatore Arnone, and Luciano Dominic Valenti. His siblings include sister Natalia Korda and brothers Walter and Steve Korda. He is also remembered fondly by his nephews, Christopher and Nicholas Korda, and his long-time friend Jack Graham, along with many other relatives and friends who were touched by his warmth and kindness.

Ihor was preceded in death by his son, Ihor R. Korda, and his parents, Jaroslaw and Maria Korda, and his son-in-law, Daniel Colangelo.

A Mass in memory of Ihor Korda will take place on January 4, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Church, located at 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. Friends and family are invited to join together to celebrate his life and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
