Jack J Benvenuto

Beloved Father and Brother, Jack passed away peacefully on July 15 at the age of 81. He is survived by son Gabriel, daughter Cybele, son-in-law Jeff Clark, and brother and sister-in-law Jim and Jean Benvenuto and family. He is predeceased by parents Rose and Jim Benvenuto. Jack studied art at RIT, and the Cleveland and San Francisco Art Institutes. A life-long jazz enthusiast, he saw many of the bebop greats perform in their prime in Rochester and elsewhere. A member of the International Union of Operating Engineers since 1962, Jack finished his career as a crane operator before driving a school bus for the Greece School District for 10 years. From the 1950’s to present, Jack spent summers with his family and friends at the 1000 Islands from Cape Vincent to Clayton.

Visitation Hours at Thomas Funeral Chapels, Friday July 19th 6-8pm & Saturday July 20th 1-2pm, with a Prayer Service at 2pm.
