Webster: Jim passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 15, 2015, after a fierce battle with an extended illness. Jim is predeceased by his parents Willis & Norene Kennerson. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathleen (Welch) Kennerson; children, Kathy (Fred) Fischer, Jim (Dawna) Kennerson, Mary (TJ) Ferris; grandchildren, Kathleen, Tommy, Sarah, Tia, Sean, Austin; mother-in-law, Lillian Welch; brother-in-law, John (Nancy) Welch; sisters-in-law, Mary Murphy & Karen Welch; as well as many dear cousins and friends.
Jim was a teacher and coach for 42 years. Jim retired from the Avon Central School District where he worked for 24 years as a Director of Health and Physical Education. Coach Jim was also a Driver Education teacher for the Avon, Albion, Eastridge, Hilton, Holley, and Pittsford Schools. Jim enjoyed working with his students and enjoyed watching them grow throughout the years. Jim was active in the community and a member of many organizations.
Family & friends may call at Thomas Sunday 19th from 2-5pm. Funeral Mass Holy Cross Church Monday 20th at 11am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Jim\'s memory may be made to Holy Cross School, 4488 Lake Ave, Rochester NY 14612.
