Rochester, NY: Felipe d\'Armand de Chateauvieux, 67, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at home, with family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Havana, Cuba in 1948, Felipe came to Rochester in 1974. Son of the late French Marquis and Marquise Leon and Lucia d\'Armand de Chateauvieux. Graduated MCC and SUNY Brockport. Employed by Eastman Kodak, and later as a Spanish-English Interpreter for the Courts. Active in the Democratic Party, he led the 7th and 26th LD. He served on the City Planning Commission and was President of the Charlotte Lighthouse Society.He was a United Way volunteer, an advocate for social justice, and a formidable chess player. He was a true gentleman, known for his kindness, intelligence and charm.

Predeceased by his brother Leon. Survived by wife Barbara (Coulter) de Chateauvieux, son Philip (Meaghan Lacey), grandchildren Jonah and Olive, sisters Lourdes d\'Armand de Chateauvieux and Carmen (Peter) Bush, brothers- and sisters-in-law Niall (Ann) Coulter, Dr. Brian (Eithne) Coulter, and family in the U.S., Cuba, France and Ireland.



Viewing 4 to 8 PM Friday Nov 27, Thomas Funeral Chapels.
Mass 10:00 AM Saturday, November 28, Our Lady Queen of Peace. Burial at Riverside Cemetery.Contributions to Pathstone or Willow Domestic Violence Center.
