Irondequoit: June 11, 2016. Mary joined her husband of 60 years, Jim, after a long struggle with dementia. She was 92.

Predeceased by parents, Hugh and Teresa Marsh, in-laws Clarence (John) and Alice Fleming, sister, Dorothy Marsh, brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Ruth Marsh, brother Hugh Marsh, granddaughter, Amelia Fleming, sisters/brothers-in-law, Irene and Bill Diamond, Alice Marie and Tom Marion, Catherine and Wilbur Falwell, Carol and Dick Smith, brothers-in-law, Bruce Fey, Jack (John) Fleming.

Survived by children, Mary Ann DiChesere (Mike), Jim Fleming Jr. (Alicia), John Fleming (Ann), Theresa Fleming-Schoeffler (David), Joe Fleming. She also leaves 4 grandchildren James, Rachel, Nicole, Ken, brother, Frank Marsh (Therese), sisters-in-law, Loretta Marsh, Peg Fey, brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law, Bill Fleming (Barb), Bob Fleming (Angie) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

A native of Jewett City, Conn, Mary met the love of her life, Jim, when he was in the Navy. After making several moves with him, they settled near family in Rochester, for over 50 years. Family gatherings were important to her, hosting holidays, birthdays, picnics, drop-ins for dinner and just because. Mary enjoyed her fruit and vegetable garden, her many indoor and outdoor plants, sharing food, plant cuttings and knowledge with family and friends. In spring she would tap the maple trees and boil down the sap to make syrup. Mary was skilled at sewing, crocheting and knitting, making garments for herself and family, sharing her talents and expertise. In our thoughts and hearts, you will be missed forever.

Friends and family may call at Thomas Friday June 17, 2016 from 5-8pm. Her Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday 9am at Holy Cross Church 4492 Lake Ave in Charlotte. Mary will be buried alongside her husband at Arlington National Cemetery.
