Survived by sister, Loretta Carrol; children, Thomas, John & Molly, Timothy & Karrin, Stephen, Paula, Peter grandchildren, Taylor & Nicola, Jillian, Rebekah & Eric Pope, Travis & Angela, Jonathan & Marianne, Jason, Nathan, Haely, Thomas, Stella, Colin, Alannah, and Carly McCarthy, and Samantha Herring; great-grandchildren, Devin, Avery, Henrick, and Elliot; sister in law, Patricia Taylor. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a bunch of great neighbors.

Our family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks and gratitude to his caregivers over the last few weeks, Rosita, Ilona, Shavonte, Jeri, Bill, and Colleen. Thank you to VNS caregivers over the past year, Deb, Pat, Priscilla, and Cathy. Special thank you to Gary Washe who provided companion services to Bernie and Anne over the last few years. Our thanks also to Dr. Elizabeth Palis, of the Rochester VA Clinic.
