Robert Buttach, an amazing fiancé, father, grandfather, uncle, coworker and friend, went home to be with the Lord on November 30th 2024 at the age of 52. Born on January 18th, 1972, in Rochester, NY, Rob lived a life full of love, music, and great food. Rob was fiercely compassionate in everything he did and was absolutely unforgettable.

Rob was currently the chef at Rizzi’s Restaurant and had a passion for cooking like no other. He belonged in the kitchen and many can tell you he spent more than half of his life in one. You may have had the pleasure of eating one of his meals in many different places, including MacGregor’s, Valicias, and Panorama.

Beyond his pride in his work, Rob had a passion for music. He was the founding member of Aggressive Betty (formerly Livid) and enjoyed performing in venues all around Rochester including the Montage Music Hall, California Brew Haus and Photo City Music Hall and Pineapple Jacks. His energy and passion while on stage will be cherished for years to come.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Buttach; mother, Carol Buttach; sisters, Rebecca Webb, Lorinda Doane; brothers, Lawrence Christopher Buttach, Louis Buttach; nieces, Carrole Weaver, Dawn Doane; nephew, Shane Doane.

Robert is survived by his fiancé, Kelly Keon; his sister, Teresa (John) Apsey; his loving children, John (Lexi) Dengel, Casey (Kristi) Koons, Tabitha (Kevin) Campbell, and Trisha (Raul) Torres. He also leaves behind several grandchildren who were the absolute love of his life as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Rob was such a genuine and loyal person and it was such an honor to have known him and to have been loved by him.
