Vroria M. Simpson

Rochester: April 21, 2025 

Vroria Simpson, age 77, was a petite woman with a warm and engaging personality who loved to laugh and loved good food. She often joked that her brother told her she loved food so much that she would become an Oompa Loompa.

She loved to tell stories about her youth in Indonesia where she was raised by Protestant parents and loved going to church. She joked about her parents loving to play Bridge while she preferred Poker.

Due to her love of travel, she soon left home and traveled all over Europe with her friends before settling in the Netherlands where she worked as a Nanny for several years. Her ability to speak many languages, including Dutch and German, made it easy for her to find work.

Vroria eventually made her way to the US where she met and married her husband.

Vroria did not have any children and is predeceased by her husband, David Simpson, who was a chemist for Kodak.
