William Walker

Walker, William J. Ed.D.
Rochester: Born in Bennington, VT on August 17, 1930, son of Donald and Cecilia (Liberty). Passed away August 11, 2015 a few days short of his 85th birthday. He is predeceased by brothers, Donald T., James, Robert, David, Andrew, sister Jean; granddaughter Barbara. Bill married Barbara Watt in 1954 in Syracuse, NY, and they remained close lifelong friends; also survived by sons, Stephen (Susan), William Jr. (Margaret Carney), James; grandchildren, Andrew (Justinn), Jeannie (AJ) Todd, Margaret (Eric) Miller, Donald, William, Stephen; great-grandchildren, Betty and Daisy Todd; brother, Richard (Sharon); sister Mary (Edward) Wasielewski; many dear relatives and friends. Bill graduated from Syracuse University with 3 degrees. He taught English in schools in the Syracuse area and in San Diego, and was high school principal in Mexico, NY. After teaching at Alfred University for 25 years he retired as Professor Emeritus. He was a veteran of the US Navy, and
retired from the Naval Reserve with the rank of Lt. Commander.
